Integrity. Trustworthy. Dependable.

Rick Yaden started Yadeco Pipe in August 1981, just two months after the Yaden family welcomed their daughter, Kristen who now works in the office today. With only one customer, Rick began to take care of all of that customer’s pipe needs for the wells he was drilling in Crockett County. Rick knew very little about OCTG, but was able to learn by going to steel mills across Houston, Texas. He also learned a great deal by making trips out to the field while delivering pipe to the well.

In 1983 Rick’s son, Chase was born; who is also now a part of the family business today. A short year later in 1984, Midland experienced a large down turn in the oil industry that lasted several years. Many oil companies, banks, and other local businesses went out of business. Rick worked hard and found ways to keep Yadeco Pipe’s doors open.

In 1994 Rick took on a partner and formed Midland Pipe Incorporated. He and his partner bought a yard in South Midland and began buying used casing and tubing. At the time used pipe was standard. The partners went out and found new customers to help generate sales within the business.

Rick and his partner concentrated on small independent companies in the Permian Basin and New Mexico. In 1995 the partners hired one employee, Jose Ramos. The partners purchased one truck and trailer in order to begin offering deliveries to customers. Midland Pipe continues to increase their truck and trailer fleet, add forklifts, and hire many employees to meet customer demands today.

In 2006 oil companies went from running almost entirely used pipe to running all new pipe. This caused a large increase in Midland Pipe’s capital budget. In 2007, Chase decided he wanted to join the company. He came on board and Rick taught him everything there is to know about OCTG. In 2007, Ricks partner decided to retire right about the same time Chase was graduating from UTA in Arlington. Chase joined the company full time in 2008 and worked hard to learn every aspect of the industry before taking over operations in 2014. Midland Pipe prides themselves on being a family run business.

At the age of 61, Rick still enjoys what he does. Working with many customers and friends that he has made over the years. He looks forward to coming to work every single day. Rick built Midland Pipe on good customer relationships, competitive prices, and providing the best service in the Permian Basin.

Midland Pipe has been through many employees in it’s 39 years of business, but one employee, Jose Ramos, has stayed through all of the ups and downs for 25 years. Jose is one of the reasons Midland Pipe is able to provide the best service in the Permian Basin.
